Patricia "Patty" Parks

It is with great sadness that the family of Patty Parks announces her passing on January 8, 2022 in Johnston Memorial Hospital at the age of 62. She was born October 11, 1959 to the late Tony Willis Chafin and Zana Anne Stanley Greer. Patty loved music. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by a sister Kathy Chafin, a brother Steve Chafin and a grandson “Baby D”. Those left to cherish her memory include: three daughters: Brittany Gilbert and husband David of Abingdon, VA; Heather Guy and husband Josh of Roanoke, VA and Ashley McCoy and Husband Glen of Mountain City, TN; one sister: Vivian Reed of Richmond, VA; grandchildren: cheyanne, Alex, Cameron, Raelyn, Maddie and Liam; several nieces, nephews and cousins and special friend Drema Cox of Princeton, WVA. It was Patty's wishes to be cremated and no formal service held.
