Patty Gail Henson Morefield

Patty Gail Henson-Morefield, age 62, of 943 Harbin Hill Road, Mountain City, Tennessee, passed away on Wednesday, January 11, 2006 at her residence following an extended illness. She was born on December 1, 1943 in Johnson County, Tennessee, the daughter of the late Ken and Hattie Johnson Henson. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two brothers: RD Henson and Joe Henson and one sister, Elizabeth Richardson. Patty was a homemaker and a huge Atlanta Braves and Vol's Fan. She enjoyed working puzzle books and spending time with her family, especially her grandkids. She was a member of Dewey Christian Church. She was a very loving mother and grandmother, known as "Nanny". Patty is survived by two daughters and son-in-law: Frances Graybeal of Elizabethton, TN and Tammy and Jimmy Jennings, Mountain City, TN; four sisters: Shirley Fredell and husband Bud, Gladys Absher, Hazel Gentry, all of Mountain City, TN and Mae Neal of Bluff City, TN; three brothers: Ray Henson and wife Jean, Otis Henson and wife Wileyette and Kemp Henson and wife Hilda, all of Mountain City, TN; five grandchildren: Cassandra Greer, David Greer, Austin Greer, all of Elizabethton, TN, Craig and Jayme Jennings, both of Mountain City, TN; three great grandchildren: Dillion Colon, Bronson Greer and Patty Elizabeth Paige Lipford; several nieces and nephews and her many special friends of Dewey Christian Church. Funeral Services for Patty will be conducted at 7:00 p.m. Saturday, January 14, 2006 from the Dewey Christian Church with Mr. Bud Gentry to officiate. Committal Services and Interment will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. Sunday, January 15, 2006 from the Wilson Cemetery. Active Pallbearers will be: Ronnie Henson, Donnie Henson, Bo Henson, Gary Henson, Larry Grindstaff and Eddie Henson. Those who are attending the Committal Services and Interment are asked to assemble by 1:30 p.m. on Sunday at Dewey Christian Church to go in procession. The family will receive friends from 6-700 p.m. on Saturday, at the Church, prior to Funeral Services.
