Paul E. Hawkins

Paul E. Hawkins, age 75, of 611 Crackers Neck Road, Mountain City, TN, passed away on Tuesday, June 15, 2004, at the Watauga Medical Center following an extended illness. A native of Johnson County, he was born January 17, 1929 to the late William and Crathie Combs Hawkins. Paul loved to farm and was a member of the Pleasant Grove Baptist Church. Surviving is his wife of 51 years, Jackie Hawkins of the home; One Daughter: Diana Worley and husband Bud, Mountain City; Three Sons: Terry Hawkins, Mountain City; Larry Hawkins and wife Dee, Butler; Charlie Hawkins, Mountain City; One Sister: Dorthy Minks, Mountain City; Six Grandchildren; Several nieces and nephews. A Celebration of Life Service for Paul E. Hawkins, will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday, June 18, 2004, at the Nelsons Chapel Baptist Church with the Rev. Lonnie Denny to officiate. Music will be under the direction of the Nelson Chapel Baptist Church Choir. Inurnment will follow in the Simcox Cemetery. Urn Bearers will be Bruce Triplett, John Triplett, Glenn Painter, David Eastridge, John Eastridge, Jack Ward, Jody Hawkins, and Wayne Vaught. Honorary Urn Bearers will be Deacons and Men of the Nelsons Chapel Baptist Church. Friends may call at the residence, 611 Crackers Neck Road, Mountain City, at anytime.
