Mr. Paul Smith, age 75, of 365 Laurel Road, Mountain City, TN passed away Saturday, May 13, 2017 at the Sycamore Shoals Hospital, Elizabethton, TN.
He was born Feb 25, 1942 to the late Jade Smith and Ann Tester Smith. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers Ralph Smith and Tobe Smith and three sisters Pearl Smith, Kate Smith, and Mary Frances Smith. Paul was a member of Pleasant Grove Baptist Church.
He enjoyed hunting, trapping and gardening. Survivors include: A cousin Billy Joe Tester and wife Shirley, Elkton, MD and a special neighbor, Betty Timbs, Mountain City, TN. Several other neighbors, family and friends also survive.
A funeral service for Paul Smith will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. on Monday, May 15, 2017 from the Pleasant Grove Baptist Church with Minister Billy Joe Tester to officiate. The family will receive friends from 1:00 PM to 2:00 pm prior to the funeral service.
Graveside service and interment will be conducted following the funeral in the Nave Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Colman Brown, Jett Arnold, Jack Arnold, Johnny Arnold, Howard Stout and Melvin Humphrey
