Pauline Burrow, age 80, of 1278 Sprucy Lane, Mountain City, Tennessee, went to be with her Lord on Friday, January 05, 2007 at the Johnson County Health Center. She was born on June 18, 1926 to the late Edward and Clydia Church Roberts. In addition to her parents, Pauline was preceded in death by her husband, John Burrow Sr.; one son, David Burrow and one sister, Romella Lipps. She was a member of Bethany Baptist Church for more than 50 years and was also active in the C.B.M. and WMU at the church. Pauline was an active member of the Doe Valley F.C.E. She enjoyed gardening, quilting, scrap booking and cooking. Pauline is survived by four daughters and sons-in-law: Barbara and Tip Proffitt of Mountain City, TN, Glenda and Dean Smith of Hampton, TN, Betty and John Farthing of Mountain City, TN and Paula and Randy Stewart of Mountain City, TN; one son and daughter-in-law, John and Kathy Burrow Jr of San Antonio, TX.; one brother, Dale Roberts and wife Bettie of Mountain City, TN; nine grandchildren; fourteen great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews; her church family and many, many special friends. Funeral Services for Pauline Burrow will be conducted at 7:30 p.m. Monday, January 8, 2007 from the Bethany Baptist Church with Pastor Ralph Howard to officiate and will be assisted by Mr. Dean Smith, Mr. Brian Smith and Mr. Bill Brooks. The family will receive friends from 5:30 - 7:30 p.m. on Monday, prior to the Services, at the Church. Graveside Services and Interment will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, January 9, 2007 from the Burley-Shoun Cemetery. Active Pallbearers will be family and friends of Pauline. Family, Pallbearers and Friends are asked to assemble by 10:45 a.m. on Tuesday at the cemetery for graveside services. Ms. Burrow will be taken to the church at 4:00 p.m. Monday, where she will lie in state until the service hour. Donations may be made in memory of Pauline to the CBM, 5950 Hwy 67 W., Mountain City, Tn 37683. At other times friends may call at the residence, 1278 Sprucy Lane, Mountain City, Tn 37683.
