Pauline Cornett

Wanda Pauline Eggers Cornett, age 89, of 919 Medical Park Drive, Mountain City, TN, formerly of Trade, TN passed away on Monday December 17, 2012 at the Mountain City Care Center. She was born September 22, 1923 to the late Garfield Eggers and Callie Main Eggers. She was a member of Centerview Church of Christ and she loved canning, quilting and cooking. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Luther Cornett in 2000; one son: Sam Cornett; two sisters: Nell May and Grace May; one brother: Clyde Eggers; five grandchildren: Kathy, James, Richard, Jason and Richard Dean; and one great grandchild: Faith. Survivors include: two daughters: Virginia Trivette and husband John of Drexel, NC and Mary Trivette and husband Jimmy of Deep Gap, NC; six sons: Dallas Cornett and wife Mamie of Hudson, NC; Joe Cornett and wife Kerwin of Mountain City, TN; Jerry Cornett of Trade, TN; Lloyd Cornett and wife Wanda of Granite Falls, NC; Mike Cornett and wife Kitty of Mountain City, TN and Randy Cornett of Trade, TN; thirty-four grandchildren; fifty-eight great grandchildren and five great great grandchildren; Special friends Pearl Thomas, Anna Dowell and Reba Taylor and several nieces and nephews also survive. Funeral services for Wanda Pauline Eggers Cornett will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, December 22, 2012 from the Charles B. Hux Memorial Chapel of Hux-Lipford Funeral Home with Mr. Bart Winegar and Rev. Steven Spencer officiating. The family will receive friends from 12:00 p.m.-2:00 p.m. prior to the funeral service. Graveside service and interment will follow in Sunset Memorial Park. Active pallbearers will be Kevin Cornett, Randy Cornett, Lloyd Cornett, Josh Cornett, Dwayne Cornett, Dallas Cornett, Allen Cornett, Charles Cornett and Toby Shiflett. Honorary pallbearers will be Dr. Donald Walters and staff, Barry and Quint Reece, Bill Cornett, Lane Miller, Dr. James Shine and Staff of Mountain City Care Center.
