Pearl Elsie Taylor, age 87, of 500 Stage Road, Mountain City, Tennessee, passed away Sunday, October 17, 2004 at the Watauga Medical Center. A native of Johnson County, she was born on April 30, 1917 to the late James and Tisha Tilley Howard. In addition to her parents, Pearl was preceded in death by her husband, Bradley Bynum Taylor; three brothers, Fred, Russell and Glen Howard; tow sons, Garland and Carl Taylor and one grandson, Jimmy Demars. She loved sewing, gardening and crafts. Pearl was a member of Nelson's Chapel Baptist Church. Pearl is survived by one daughter, Nina Demars, Spring Hill, Florida; two sons, Bradley "Bill" Taylor and Barton Taylor, both of Mountain City, Tennessee; one sister, Edna Howard Arnold; three sisters-in-laws, Olga England, Mae Dowell, all of Mountain City, Tennessee and Myrtle Patrick Taylor of Silas City, North Carolina; two grandchildren, Debra Demars of Wilmington, North Carolina and Kenneth "Timmy" Glen Taylor; two great grandchildren, Brittany and Amber Taylor, all of Mountain City, Tennessee and special friends Grace Smith of Blountville, Tennessee. Several Nieces and Nephews also survive. Funeral Services for Pearl will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, October 20, 2004 from the Nelsons Chapel Baptist Church with Pastor Lonnie Denney and Pastor Richard Stout to officiate. Music will be under the direction of the Nelsons Chapel Choir. Graveside Services and Interment will follow from the McKeown Cemetery. Active Pallbearer will be: The family will receive friends from 7-9:00 p.m. Tuesday, October 19, 2004 from the Hux-Lipford Funeral Home Chapel. At other times, friends may call at the residence.
