Jewel Arnold, age 62, of 5856 Big Dry Run Road, Butler TN passed away unexpectedly Thursday, February 20, 2014. She was the daughter of the late Floyd Cable and Ellen Dishman Cable. Jewel was of the Baptist faith and her hobbies included flowers and gardening. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two brother, Billy and Bobby Cable. She was employed by Mountain City Care Center and was also a caregiver for many years in Tennessee and North Carolina. Survivors include: one son: Eric Arnold of Butler, TN; four sisters: Gloria Tester of Hickory, NC; Fern Arnold and husband Jack of Mountain City, TN; Myrtle Gensler Corum of Butler, TN; and Brenda Dildine and husband David of High Point, NC and several nieces and nephews. Special friends Danny Herman and Emily Francisco also survive. A funeral service for Jewel will be conducted at 3:00 p.m. Sunday, February 23, 2014 from the East Side Chapel of Hux-Lipford Funeral Home with Rev. Tony Potter officiating. The family will receive friends from 2:00 p.m.-3:00 p.m. prior to the funeral service. Honorary pallbearers will be Wade Snyder, Bob Greene, Jeff Guy, Jacob Gensler, Johnny Gensler, Danny Herman, Jack Arnold, David Dildine and Ricky Dildine.
