Duff Arnold age 94, of 895 Sandy Road, Mountain City, TN passed away Monday, October 4th, 2010. He was a native of the Neva Community in Johnson County. Duff worked for Burlington Industries and was a foreman for Mountain Farms. He was a deacon at Central Baptist Church and also an avid hunter and fisherman. He was preceded in death by his parents, John Hamilton "Ham" Arnold and Victoria Tester Arnold, one brother Marshall Arnold, two sisters, Velma Mink and Sarah Tester, and one granddaughter Stacy Anglemyer. Survivors include his wife of 75 years Nell Arnold, daughters and son in-laws, Mary and Joe Bishop of Mountain City, and Phyllis and Fred Anglemyer of Butler, four sons and daughter in-laws, Mack Sr. and Joanne Arnold, Jack and Fern Arnold, Johnny and Teresa Arnold, and Jett Arnold and friend Janice all of Mountain City, Eleven grandchildren, sixteen great grandchildren, seven great-great grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends from 6:00p.m. To 8:00p.m.Wednesday, October 6th, 2010 in the Charles B. Hux Memorial Chapel at Hux-Lipford Funeral Home. Reverends Harry Wills, Lonnie Denny and Daniel Buchannon will officiate. The funeral service will be conducted at 2:00p.m. Thursday, October 7th, 2010. Entombment will follow at Sunset Memorial Park in the Mausoleum of Love. Pallbearers will be Mack Arnold Jr., Barry Bishop, Frank Bishop, Johnny Black, Ron Billiot, Mike Penley, and Kenneth Harry. Honorary pallbearers will be Barton Fritts, Hugh Walker, Howard Stout, Dean Stout, Harry Wills, Ed Brown, Herman Timbs, and Buddy Slemp.
