Raleigh Martin Forrester, age 66, of 1015 Vaughts Gap Road, Mountain City, Tennessee, passed away Monday, August 11, 2003 at the Mountain City Care Center following an extended illness. He was born April 01, 1937 to the late Floyd Joseph and Eula Tester Forrester and was a native of the Crackers Neck Community. He was preceded in death by his parents, four sisters; Bertha Forrester, Mary Smith, Alice Vines and Coreen Norris. Raleigh was a United States Veteran, having served in the Army, enjoyed the outdoors, hunting and was a Member and Deacon of the Dyson Grove Baptist Church. Survivors: (4) Sisters: Josephine Blackburn, Butler, Tennessee Reba Netherly, Mountain City, Tennessee Patsy Minton, Ferguson, North Carolina Carolyn Forrester, Mountain City, Tennessee (3) Brothers: Bobby Gene Forrester, Mountain City, Tennessee David J. Forrester, Mountain City, Tennessee Raymond Dale Forrester, Mountain City, Tennessee (1) Aunt: Bertie Carter, Mountain City, Tennessee Several Nieces and Nephews. Hux-Lipford Funeral Home is in charge of the Arrangements. Memorial Services for Raleigh Martin Forrester, age 66, of 1015 Vaughts Gap Road, Mountain City, Tennessee , will be held Wednesday, August 13, 2003 at 8:00 p.m. from the Dyson Grove Baptist Church with Rev. Leonard Fletcher to officiate. The family will receive friends 6-8:00 p.m. prior to the services. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Cancer Society. Friends may also call at the residence of Reba & John Netherly, 3170 Crackers Neck Road, Mountain City, Tennessee at anytime.
