Ralph Quintton Roark, age 70, of 11222 Hwy 421 South, Trade, Tennessee, passed away on Thursday, June 2, 2005 at the Johnson City Medical Center following a lengthy illness. A native of Johnson County, Tennessee, Ralph was born on July 26, 1934 to the late Roby and Julie Roark. In addition to his parents, Ralph was preceded in death by one daughter, Debbie Roark Hicks, who passed away in 1986, one grandson, Shannon Roark, who passed away in 1995; two sisters, Opal Shelton and Ozel Shelton and three brothers: Arlis Roark, Ed Roark and Clarence Roark. He was a retired furniture factory employee and a farmer. Ralph loved the outdoors and going fishing. He is survived by his wife Sally Loretta Roark of the home; two sons and daughters-in-law: Bill and Beth Roark of Mountain City, Tennessee and Robert and Debbie Roark of Trade, Tennessee; three sisters: Vergie Self of Abingdon, Virginia, Louise Henry and Shelby Branson, both of Creston, North Carolina; one brother, Joe Roark of Abingdon, Virginia; three grandchildren: Stephanie O'Brien, Tabatha Roark and Kevin Roark; three great grandchildren: Austin Roark, Kindell Housewright, Roark and MaKala O'Brien and several nieces and nephews. Funeral Services for Ralph Quintton Roark will be conducted at 7:30 p.m. Saturday, June 4, 2005 from the Hux-Tetrick Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Eddie Porter and Pastor Spencer Roark to officiate. Music will be under the direction of the Spencer Roark Family. Graveside Services and Interment will be conducted at 1:00 p.m. Sunday, June 5, 2005 from the Roark Family Cemetery, Trade, Tennessee. Pallbearers will be family and friends of Ralph. The family will receive friends from 6-7:30 p.m. prior to Services Saturday, at the Funeral Home Chapel.
