Ramona Gobble

Ramona Gobble, age 79, of 1144 Circle Drive, Mountain City, TN passed away Monday, July 11, 2011 at Franklin Woods Community Hospital in Johnson City, TN after an extended illness. She was the daughter of the late Henry Holtschneider and Nellie Murphy Holtschneider. Ramona was a member of First United Methodist Church. Her hobbies included flowers, reading, and she loved the beach. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one sister, Harriett Humphrey; and two brothers: Blair and Doug Holtschneider. Survivors include: her husband, Paul Gobble, of the home; two daughters: Karen Ward of Mountain City, TN and Nelle Church and husband Daryl of Johnson City, TN; three sons: Sam Gobble and wife Donna of Mountain City, TN; Richard Gobble, Jonathan Gobble and wife Teresa, all of Johnson City, TN; one sister: Maxine Morgan of Baltimore, MD; one brother: David Holtschneider of Baltimore, MD; five grandchildren: Bill and Mark Ward of Mountain City, TN; Ashleigh and Daniel Gobble and Chase Church all of Johnson City, TN; special friend: Pia Steinhauser of Mountain City, TN and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services for Ramona Gobble will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, July 16, 2011 from the Charles B. Hux Memorial Chapel of Hux-Lipford Funeral Home with First United Methodist Minister officiating. The family will receive friends Friday, July 15, 2011 from 7:00 p.m.-9:00 p.m. from Hux-Lipford Funeral Home. Interment will follow in Sunset Memorial Park following the funeral service. Active pallbearers will be Sam Gobble, Jonathan Gobble, Darrell Church, Billy Ward, Mark Ward and Daniel Gobble. Honorary pallbearer will be Richard Gobble.
