Ray Charles Morefield

Ray C. Morefield, age 72 of 2155 Lumpkin Branch Rd., Mountain City, TN passed away on Friday, March 16, 2012 at his residence. He was born September 11, 1939 to the late Elbert and Hazel Forrester Morefield. He was also preceded in death by his wife Dorothy Morefield, two brothers Carl Morefield and Fred Morefield and a grandson Evan Nichols. Mr. Morefield is survived by two daughters, Tammy Morefield and Regina Matheson of Mountain City, TN. One sister, Muriel Payne of Mountain City, TN. Grandchildren, David Nichols and Rock Nichols , Gavin Morefield, and Stephanie Jones Williams. Nephews, Spencer Payne, Doug Payne and Fred Morefield. Special friends Pate Gambill and Ila Mink. Funeral services for Mr. Ray Morefield will be conducted on Sunday, March 18, 2012 at 3:00 p.m. from the Charles B. Hux Memorial Chapel of the Hux-Lipford Home with the Rev. Harry Hillman and the Rev. Gary Gambill officiating. The family will receive friends from 1:00 - 3:00 p.m. prior to the funeral service at the Charles B. Hux Memorial Chapel. Graveside service will follow the funeral service in the Lewis Forrester Cemetery. Pallbearers are Dave Gwynn, Spencer Payne, Doug Payne, David Nichols, Rock Nichols and Gavin Morefield.
