Age 86 of 1101 Persimmon Road, Jonesboro, Tennessee. Passed away Monday September 18th at the Four Oaks Nursing Center, Jonesboro, Tennessee following an Brief illness Mr. Osborne was born October 19th , 1919 in Creston, North Carolina to the late Milton Osborne and Belle Nelson, Osborne in addition to his parents he was proceeded in death by his wife Josephine Price Osborne who died in 1990 also 1 sister Cleo Mullins and 3 brothers, Grover Osborne, Shell Osborne, and C.L. Osborne. Mr. Osborne was retired from the Johnson County Highway Department, and a member of the First Freewill Baptist Church, He enjoyed Gardening, Bingo, Playing Cards and Socializing, he was also a U.S. Army Veteran having served during W.W. II Survivors Include 2 Daughters; Kathy Rust and husband Vance, Bristol, Va. Lucy McClung, Robbinsville, N.C. 3 Sons; Gary Osborne and Wife Linda, Johnson City, Tennessee. Meredith Osborne, Bristol, Tennessee. Jimmy Ray Osborne, Elkton, Maryland. 5 Sisters; Lena and Boyd Wilson, Mountain City, Tennessee Margaret Grimes, Mountain City, Tennessee. Lillian Roark, Elkton, Maryland. Josephine Lewis, West Grove, Pa. Rosalie Miller, West Grove, Pa. 8 Grandchildren, including a special Granddaughter Serena Skinner, Several Great Grandchildren Several Nieces and Nephews also survive. A Graveside Service for Ray Osborne will be conducted on Thursday September 21, 2006 at 4 P.M. in the Phillippi Cemetery. Rev. Doug Stidham will officiate. The Family will receive friends 2-3.45 P.M. Thursday also at Hux-Lipford Funeral Home.
