Raye Farris

Raye Farris, of 310 B North Church Street, Mountain City, passed away Monday, April 14, 2003 at the Johnson County Health Center after an extended illness. Mrs. Farris was a native of West Jefferson, North Carolina and was born to the late Wiley T. and Katie Clyde Bare Harless. She was a homemaker and member of the First United Methodist Church. Mrs. Farris was preceded in death by four sisters, Edna Lewis, Irene Rash, Hallie Faye Baldwin, and Esther May Lowe. Survivors: Husband: Maurice E. " Cherry" Farris, Jr., of the home Several Nieces and Nephews Hux-Lipford Funeral Home is in charge of the Arrangements. Funeral services for Raye Farris will be conducted at 3.P.M. Friday April 18th 2003 from the First United Methodist Church with Pastor Maggie Owens Yates and Rev. Bill Burchette to Officiate Burial will follow in the Mountain View Cemetery.
