Raymond Able

Mr. Raymond Able, age 56, of 792 Dry Branch Road, Laurel Bloomery, Tennessee, passed away Sunday, August 24, 2003 at his residence. He was a native of Laurel Bloomery and was born March 14, 1947 to the late Lillard and Lenis Widener Able. He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother; Roger Able. Mr. Able was a 1964 Graduate of Johnson County High School, Attended State Line Baptist Church, a member of the American Legion #61, loved hunting and fishing and was a Veteran having served in the US Army in Vietnam where he earned the Purple Heart. Survivors include: (2) Sisters: Lois Eastridge, Laurel Bloomery, Tennessee Betty Pennington, Laurel Bloomery, Tennessee (2) Brothers: Grover Able, Laurel Bloomery, Tennessee James Able, Laurel Bloomery, Tennessee Several Nieces and Nephews. Hux-Lipford Funeral Home is in charge of the Arrangements. Funeral services for Raymond Able, Age56, of 792 Dry Branch Road, Laurel Bloomery, Tennessee will be held 8:00 p.m. Tuesday, August 26, 2003 from the Chapel of the Hux-Lipford Funeral Home with Rev. Derl McCloud to officiate. Pallbearers will be: Paul Gentry, Burton Yarber, Clay Wilson, Ralph Morefield, Roger Morefield, Ken Able and David Duncan. Honorary Pallbearers are: Garr Williams, Eric Greene, "Odie" Nave and Chris Williams. Family will receive friends 6-8:00 p.m. prior to services. Military Graveside Services will be conducted by the Johnson County Honor Guard 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, August 27, 2003 from the State Line Cemetery .
