Reba Long

Reba Evelyn Hayes Long, age 86, of Valley Nursing Home, Chilhowie, VA passed away on  May 28, 2017, in the Johnston Memorial Hospital, Abingdon, VA. She was born in Washington County, VA on October 9, 1930 to the late Eli Gammons Hayes and Bonnie Mae Thompson Hayes. She was preceded in death by her husband, John Elmo Long; two sons, John Allen Price, Sr. and Kenny Ray Long, Sr.; three brothers, Edgar Hayes, Clarence Hayes and Earl Hayes; a granddaughter, Dinah Potter.

 She was a seamstress and she enjoyed crossword puzzles and yardwork.

Survivors include: two sisters, Irene Haga of Konnarock, VA and Janet Ashley of Abingdon, VA; one brother, Russell Hayes of Damascus, VA. Several nieces and nephews also survive.
