Rebecca D. Vaught, age 92, of 919 Medical Park Drive formerly of 955 N. Church Street, Mountain City, entered into eternal rest Wednesday, October 27, 2004 at the Mountain City Care Center following a lengthy illness. She was a native of Knoxville but had made her home in Johnson County for several years. She was born November 29, 1911 to the late Clifford B. and Fannie Sloat Metts, and was preceded in death by her husbands, Cleo A. Richardson and Sidney G. Vaught who was former owner of Peoples Drug Store, also by five brothers: Glenn Metts, Clifford Metts Jr.,Raymond Metts, Fred Metts and James D. Metts. Rebecca was a homemaker and a member of the First Christian Church, a member and past Matron of Maple Chapter # 79 O. E. S. and served as Grand Ruth in the Grand Chapter in Tn. Survivors include, three daughters: Bettye Hardy and Husband Logan of Detroit, MI, Judy Ramsey and Husband Fred of Mountain City and Garnetta Smith and Husband Mike of Mountain City: One Sister, Frances Willaims of Thorsley, Al.: Five grandchildren, Rebecca Rutnick and Husband Michael, Marsu Horton and Husband Scott, Rick Ramsey and Wife, Betty, Chelley Henson and Husband Ronnie and B. Michael Smith and wife Becky: Eight great grandchildren; Sarah, Susan, Sharla, Tiffany, Karen, Molly, Lucas and Trevorty; Several Nieces and Nephews also survive. Funeral services for Rebecca D. Vaught will be held 2:00 P. M. Saturday from the chapel of the Henson Funeral Home with Mr. Mike Smith to officiate. Burial will be in Sunset Memorial Park. Music will be under the direction of her grandson, Rick Ramsey Pallbearers will be Grandsons Honorary pallbearers will be the Staff of Mountain City Care Center. The family will receive Friends from 1 until 2:00 P. M. Saturday at the Funeral Home Chapel.
