Rev. Charles Larry Worley

Rev. Charles Larry Worley, 81, of Maiden passed away on Sunday, June 19, 2022 at his residence. He was born February 12, 1941 in Buncombe County to the late Thomas and Gladys McElreath Worley. Charles was the pastor of Providence Road Baptist Church in Maiden, NC for 42 years. He enjoyed deer hunting, riding horses, and playing golf. Best of all, he loved to preach revivals, witness to people, and minister to his church congregation and friends. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Bill Worley; and sisters, Barbara Wahl and Betty Boyd. Those left to cherish his memory are; Wife of 62 years: Frances Ammons Worley of the home Daughters: Tonya Jones and husband Tracey of Maiden Patty Wright of Maiden Grandchildren: Jessica Hedrick (Darren), Tyler Rowe (Miranda), Adam Rowe, Derek Kale (Elizabeth), and Logan Kale Great-Grandchildren: Teagan Blackburn, Cody Kale, Cayden Kale, and Cree Rowe A service to celebrate Charles' life will be held on Saturday, June 25, 2022 at 3:00 p.m. at Providence Road Baptist Church in Maiden. Rev. Lee McNeil, Rev. Leonard Fletcher, Rev. Paul Deal, and Rev. Michael Keener will officiate. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends prior to the service from 12:00 noon to 2:45 p.m. at Providence Road Baptist Church. Memorials may be made to Providence Road Baptist Church, P.O.
