Richard E. Skeens

Richard E. Skeens, of New Smyrna Beach, passed away Saturday November 6, 2010 in West Virginia. While hunting in West Virginia, Rick suffered a heart attack and passed peacefully one week later. He was 57 years old. He was born in Roanoke, VA on March 11, 1953 to Dennis and Pearl Skeens, deceased. Rick is survived by his wife of 17 years Sandra Skeens, his son Michael (Mona), Step-Daughter Kristin Snow (Steve) and his four grandchildren, Rebecca, Kasey, Kameron and Nicholas. He was preceded in death by his daughter, Jennifer Wise. He worked 32 years at the City of Port Orange Utilities. Rick, an accomplished guitarist and mandolin player, was loved by many and will be greatly missed. A memorial services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, July 16, 2011 in Sunset Memorial Park, Mountain City, TN 37683
