Ricky D. Greer

Ricky D. Greer, age 49, of 269 Dugger Hollow Road, Butler, Tennessee, passed away on Friday, October 7, 2005. A native of Johnson County, he was born on May 8, 1956 to Mary Stout Greer of Butler, Tennessee and the late Junior Greer. In addition to his father, Ricky was preceded in death by one sister, Pat Dunn. Ricky was an employee of the Northeast Correctional Center where he worked in the Maintenance Department. He enjoyed horseback riding. Ricky attended Little Doe Baptist Church. In addition to his mother, Ricky is survived by his wife, Deborah Greer of the home; one son, Tracy Greer of Butler, TN; two sisters: Shirlene Moore of Mountain City, TN and Betty Potter of Elizabethton, TN; one brother, Junior Campbell of Lenoir, NC, several nieces and nephews and many special friends also survive. Funeral Services for Ricky D. Greer will be conducted at 8:00 p.m. Monday, October 10, 2005 from the Hux-Tetrick Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Rex Johnson and Rev. Jerry Hames to officiate. The family will receive friends from 6-8:00 p.m. on Monday, prior to Services at the Funeral Home Chapel. Graveside Services and Interment will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, October 11, 2005 from the Greer Family Cemetery. Active Pallbearers will be: Tony Stout, Chad Stout, Kay Brown, Randy McKinney, James Kegley, Dennis Moore, Cody Stout and Tom Kyte. Honorary Pallbearers are Employees of the Northeast Correctional Center Maintenance Department. Family, Pallbearers and Friends are asked to assemble by 10:45 a.m. at the Cemetery for Services.
