Robert (Bob) Glenn Church, age 73, of 499 Arney Lane, Mountain City, TN passed away Tuesday, September 23, 2008 at Johnson County Community Hospital. He was the son of the late Calvin Church and Edna Brewer Church. He was a member of Rainbow Baptist Church. Mr. Church was a farmer and was retired from Burlington Industries. His hobbies included hunting and fishing. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one son, Kenneth Church, and three brothers: Billy Church, Ray Church, and Arville Church.
Survivors include: his wife of 52 years, Betty Della Johnson Church; three daughters: Rosalee Thomas and Betty Kay Church both of Mountain City, TN, and Barbara Montgomery of Butler, TN; three sons: Denver Church and Billy Church, both of Mountain City, TN, and Bobby J. Church of Gray, TN; three sisters: Elsie Laws of Butler, TN; Luthenia Johnson of Mountain City, TN; and Nanny Norris; thirteen grandchildren and four great grandchildren. Several nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews also survive,
Funeral services for Robert G. Church will be conducted at 7:00 p.m. Friday, September 26, 2008 from the Charles B. Hux Memorial Chapel of Hux-Lipford Funeral home with Rev. Clyde Campbell and Rev. Ray Vaught officiating. Active pallbearers will be Denver Church, Bobby Church, Billy Church, Aaron Church, Matthew Church, Bo Thomas, Randy Montgomery and Keith Guinn. Honorary pallbearers will be Tony Church, Logan Church, Max Church, Todd Stump and nephews. Graveside services and interment will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, September 27, 2008 in Fritts Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 5:00 p.m.-7:00 p.m. prior to the service on
Friday.
