Robert B Michael

Robert Bernard “Benny” Michael, age 66, went to be with the Lord on Monday, September 24, 2018, from his residence where he was surrounded by his family and friends.  He was born in Boone, NC on January 21, 1952, to Robert Vernon Michael and Maxine Michelle Price.  He was preceded in death by his father and his grandparents.

Robert loved to tinker around with things and was always working on his projects.  He loved to read and be outdoors while spending time with his family.  He was a textile mechanic at Burlington for 20 years, until the plant shutdown, forcing him to relocate to Paxar in Lenoir where he worked for 21 years.

Those left to cherish Robert’s memory are his loving wife of 46 years, Althea Price Michael; two sons, Robert Andrew Michael and wife Jennifer, Eric Jason Michael and wife Michelle; his mother Maxine Price, sisters Hazel Michael Holloway and husband John, Cathy Michael, Joy Michael Bohannon and husband Brendan; one brother, Mike Michael; two grandsons, Kal-El Jaden Michael and Robert Andrew Michael Jr., three step-granddaughters, Ashtyn McKinsi Henson, Emily Kay Collier, and Olymbia Georgia Collier, as well as several nieces and nephews.

It was Mr. Michael’s wish to be cremated and have no other services conducted.
