Robert Otho Mullins, age 95, of 6870 Hwy 67 West, Mountain City, Tennessee, passed away on Sunday, March 12, 2006 at his residence. He was born on March 10, 1911 in Johnson County, Tennessee, the son of the late Lonzo and Hattie Morley Mullins. In addition to his parents, Robert was preceded in death by his wife, Francis Mullins; one son, Robert Mullins and one grandson, Michael Hall. Robert had retired from Sears of California. He has also been employed by the TVA. During his employment with the TVA, Robert assisted on the construction of the Watauga, Boone and South Holston Dams and worked in the Glory Hole. He loved to hunt, especially fox hunting. He was a charter member of Bethany Baptist Church. Robert is survived by one daughter, Ola Mae Fleeman; two sons: James Mullins and Boyd Mullins, all of Mountain City, Tennessee; two sisters: Ruby Clark of Indiana and Pearl Potter of Kingsport, Tennessee; five grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren. Funeral Services for Robert Otho Mullins will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, March 15, 2006 from the Hux-Lipford Funeral Home with Rev. Richard Stout, Rev. Ralph Howard and Rev. Doug Ranshaw to officiate. The family will receive friends from 1-2:00 p.m. prior to Services on Wednesday. Graveside Services and Interment will follow from the Morley Cemetery. Pallbearers will Tim Mullins, John Davison, Bob Mullins, Harold Phillippi, Roby Phillippi and Buddy Stout.
