Robert Paul Sutherland

Robert Paul Sutherland, age 60, of 145 Dry Stone Branch Road, Mountain City, Tennessee, passed away on Thursday, April 13, 2005 at the Johnston Memorial Hospital following a lengthy illness. A native of Ashe County, North Carolina, he was born on October 17, 1944 to the late John Barton and Billie Jarvis Brown Sutherland. Robert was a member of the Board of Water and Soil Conservation of Johnson County, member of the Taylorsville Masonic Lodge #243 F & AM and a member of the United Methodist Church of Mountain City. Robert is survived by his beloved partner, Jane Fink of the home; four daughters: Bobbie Joe Sutherland Crawford of Roanoke, VA, Melinda Sutherland, Jayme Sutherland and Holly Fink, all of Mountain City, TN and four grandchildren: Ethen Heck, Carly Crawford, Isabella Davis and Kendall Crawford. Funeral Services for Robert will be conducted at 8:00 p.m. Saturday, April 16, 2005 from the Hux-Tetrick Funeral Home with Rev. Larry Rye to officiate and masonic Memorial Services by the Taylorsville Lodge #243 Free and Accepted Masons, of which Robert was a member of for 38 years, will follow. Graveside Services and Interment will be held at 2:00 p.m. Sunday, April 17, 2005 from the Wills Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6-8:00 p.m. on Saturday, prior to Services, at the Funeral Home Chapel. At other times, friends may call at the residence, 145 Dry Stone Branch Road, Mountain City, Tennessee 37683.
