Roberta Lunceford

Roberta Clara Lunceford, age 73, of Mountain City, Tennessee, passed away Friday, June 22, 2007 at Mountain City Care Center. She was born August 8, 1933 to the late Charlie and Altia Moody Anderson. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two sisters: Louise Anderson and Inez Shell; and three brothers: John Anderson, Raymond Anderson, and Norman Anderson. Ms. Lunceford was a member of Sugar Grove Baptist Church. She loved canning and gardening. Roberta Clara Lunceford is survived by three sons: Jeffery Lunceford and special friend Louie, of Mountain City, TN; David Lunceford and wife Beck of Mountain City, TN; and Ray Lunceford of Mountain City, TN and special friend Linda Meyers of Bristol, VA; two sisters: Kathleen Arnold and Edith Potter, both of Mountain City, Tennessee; two brothers: Jim Anderson of Granite Falls, North Carolina and Arvis Anderson of Mountain City, Tennessee; five grandchildren: Jeremy Lunceford, Michael Lunceford, Adam Lunceford, Jonathan Lunceford, and Thomas Lunceford; two great grandchildren: Nathaniel and Micah Lunceford; and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services for Roberta Clara Lunceford will be conducted 10:00 A.M. Monday, June 25, 2007, from the Charles B. Hux Memorial Chapel of the Hux-Lipford Funeral Home, with Mr. Jim Hutchinson and Rev. Lonnie Denney officiating. Graveside services and interment will follow in Wilson Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 7:00 - 9:00 P.M. Sunday, June 24, 2007. Active pallbearers will be grandsons and Justin Robinson. At other times, friends may call at the residence of David Lunceford, 102 Wilson Lane, Mountain City, Tennessee.
