Roger Smith, age 56, of 14243 Hwy 67W of Butler, Tennessee passed away unexpectedly at his residence on Saturday, December 12, 2009. Roger really enjoyed woodworking, guns and was a proud member of the NRA. He was preceded in death by his parents Tony Riley Smith and Mary Guy Smith; one sister Sharon Shelton and a nephew Donald Blevins.

 

Survivors include his long time companion and soul mate Crystal Miller of the home: two sisters; Carol Taylor of Elizabethton, Tennessee and Susan Taylor of Mountain City, Tennessee: one brother; Tony Smith of Mountain City, Tennessee.

 

Funeral services for Roger will be held at 8:30 pm on Friday, December 18, 2009 from the Charles B. Hux Memorial Chapel of the Hux~Lipford~Teague Funeral Home with eulogies being delivered by family and friends. It was Mr. Smith’s request to be cremated after the funeral services and a private scattering ceremony with family and friends will take place at a later date. The family will be receiving friends from 7:00 pm until 8:30 pm prior to the funeral services.

 

In lieu of flowers, memorials contributions are appreciated by the family in honor of Roger Smith and sent to Hux~Lipford~Teague Funeral Home, 300 West Main Street , Mountain City, Tennessee 37683.
