Rosalee Campbell

Rosalee Campbell, age 83,  2390 Forge Creek Road, Mountain City, Tennessee  passed away Tuesday, August 12, 2008 from injuries sustained in an automobile accident. She was the daughter of the late Paul and Lurlie Simerley Miller. Ms. Campbell was a homemaker and she was a member of God’s Country Church. Rosalee loved going to the Iron Horse and loved dancing. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Lemuel Earl Campbell in December 1997; one sister, Brenda Thompson; one brother, Harold Miller; one grandchild, Tracy Hicks; and one great grandchild, Tyler Hicks.

 

Survivors include: two daughters: Mildred Lunceford of Mountain City, TN and Lurlie Elaine Adams of Elizabethton, TN; three sons: Clyde Jackson Hicks of Adrian, MI; Gary Dale Hicks of Eufaula, AL and Ronnie Benjamin Hicks of Mountain City, TN; four sisters: Ruby Green of Roan Mountain, TN; Pauleen Divert and Christeen Beddingtonfield, both of Adrian, MI; and Betty Snodgrass of Highland, IN; one brother, Douglas McArthur Miller of Elizabethton, TN; eight grandchildren, seven great grandchildren; special friends: Ann Hatley and her second family at The Iron Horse.

 

Funeral services for Rosalee Campbell will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. Friday, August 15, 2008 from the Charles B. Hux Memorial Chapel of Hux-Lipford Funeral Home with Mr. Ronnie Manuel officiating. Graveside service and interment will follow in Nelson Cemetery.  Pallbearers will be family members. Honorary pallbearers will be Porkey Campbell, Yogi Campbell, Chris Campbell, Doug Miller, Dr. Floyd Barker, Renee Beck and Trudy Campbell. The family will receive friends from 6:00-8:00 p.m. Thursday, August 14, 2008 from the Charles B. Hux Memorial Chapel of Hux-Lipford Funeral Home.
