Rose Ann Canter

Rose Ann Canter, age 57, of 845 Dotson Road, Trade, TN passed away Wednesday, August 31, 2011 at her residence. She was a daughter of Ralph Mains and the late Ruth Mains. Ms. Canter was of the Baptist faith and her hobbies included sewing and collecting Beanie Babies. In addition to her mother, she was preceded in death by a sister, Kathy Mains. In addition to her father, Ralph Mains, survivors include: her husband, Bob Canter, of the home; stepmother: Dorothy Mains; daughters: Lacey Canter of the home; Linda Wilson and husband Mike of Mountain City, TN; Bonnie Lunsford and husband Mark of Boone, NC; and Bobbie Dillard and husband Kevin of Jefferson, NC; son: Bobby "BJ" Canter and wife Tasha of Fleetwood, NC; sister: Patricia Greer of Oxford, PA; step-sisters: Peg Reece of Mountain City, TN and Wilma Carpenter of Hartwell, GA; brothers: Kenny Mains of Mountain City, TN; Bobby Mains of West Grove, PA and Billy Mains of MD; step-brothers: Bill McFadden of Mountain City, TN and Buck McFadden of VA; grandchildren: Kimberly Wilson, Danielle Wilson, Markus Lunsford, Dekoda Dillard, Savanna Canter and Maddison Canter; special friends: Bessie Reece, Linda Cogar and Janet Leary and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services for Rose Ann Canter will be conducted at 7:00 p.m. Saturday, September 3, 2011from the Charles B. Hux Memorial Chapel of Hux-Lipford Funeral Home with Rev. Johnny Phillips officiating. The family will receive friends from 5:00 p.m.-7:00 p.m. prior to the funeral service. Graveside service and interment will be held at 10:00 a.m. Sunday, September 4, 2011 from Sunset Memorial Park with Rev. Randy McClure officiating. Active pallbearers will be Mark Lunsford, Kevin Dillard, Mike Wilson, Tommy Cogar and Kenny Mains. Honorary pallbearers will be Dekoda Dillard and Markus Lunsford.
