Roxie Pleasant Burns

Roxie Pleasant Burns, age 67, of 919 Medical Park Drive, Mountain City, Tennessee, passed away on Saturday, July 29, 2006. She was born on September 25, 1938 in Johnson County, Tennessee to the late Ben and Bale (Lowe) Pleasant. In addition to her parents, Roxie was preceded in death by several brothers and sisters and two daughters: Karen Woodard and Ramona Burns. She was a homemaker and a member of Valley View United Methodist Church. Roxie is survived by one daughter and son-in-law: Ginny and Rick Grindstaff; one sister, Suma Reece; one brother, Benny Pleasant, all of Mountain City, Tennessee; three grandsons; one granddaughter; one great grandson; one great granddaughter and several nieces and nephews. Funeral Service for Roxie Pleasant Burns will be conducted at 7:00 p.m. Tuesday, August 1, 2006 from the Charles B. Hux Memorial Chapel of the Hux-Lipford Funeral Home with Rev. Don Everhart to officiate. The family will receive friends from 6-7:00 p.m. prior to the Service. Inurnment will be held at a later date.
