Roy A. Cyclone Danner

Roy A. "Cyclone" Danner, age 56, of 423 Pierce Town Road, Butler, Tennessee, passed away on July 12, 2004 at the Johnson City Medical Center from injuries sustained in an automobile accident. A native of Johnson County, he was born on February 6, 1947 to the late Ray Danner and to Ruth Forrester Danner. In addition to his Father, Roy was preceded in death by one brother, Kermit Danner. He was a former employee of Timberland. His hobbies included Citizen Broadcasting and his codename was Cyclone, singing music and fishing. Roy is survived by his wife, Shirley Lunceford Danner of Butler; one sister, Mae Dugger of Laurel Bloomery, TN; one daughter, Debra Lynn Danner; one son, Michael Albert Danner, both of Elizabethton, TN; three step-daughters, Brenda Lunceford of Duffield, VA, Marie Dowell of Zionville, NC and Debbie Bowman of Johnson City, TN; two step-sons, Allen Lunceford and wife Tammy and Freddie Lunceford and wife Patty, all of Mountain City, TN; mother-in-law, Laura Lunceford of Butler; several grandchildren, two great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Funeral Services for Roy will be conducted at 8:00 p.m. Thursday, July 15, 2004 from the Hux-Lipford Funeral Home Chapel with Junior Dugger to officiate. The family will receive friends from 6-7:45 p.m. Thursday prior to Services at the Funeral Home. Graveside Services and Interment will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. Friday, July 16, 2004 from the Butler Memorial Cemetery. Active Pallbearers will be: Tony Bowman, Freddie Lunceford, Allen Lunceford, Avery Brown, Tiny Brown, Darrell Dugger and Jeff Woodard. Honorary Pallbearers are: Staff of Wings Air Rescue, Dr. Barbara Hathaway and the ER and ICU-2nd Floor Staff of the Johnson City Medical Center. Family, Pallbearers and Friends are asked to assemble at 10:45 a.m. Friday at the Butler Memorial Cemetery for Services. At other times, friends may call at the residence.
