Obituary for: Roy T. Eller Roy T. Eller, age 79, of 611 Wilcox Road, Mountain City went to be with his Lord and family Sunday, June 6, 2004 at his residence following a lengthy illness. He was a native of Shady Valley, Tenn. and was born January 18, 1925 to the late Floyd O. (Oscar) and Jane Nancy Stanley Eller. He was preceded in death by his wife Virginia Icenhour Eller who passed away in April of 2003, also by two brothers: Carl "Speedy" Eller and Conley Eller, two Half brothers: Vernia Manuel and Paul Eller and a grandson Shannon Proffitt. He was retired from Raython and was a Member and Deacon of Calvary Baptist Church. He was a Army Veteran having served in World War II. He loved to fish, make "whorleys" for his friends, and grandchildren. Survivors: Three daughters: Nancy Proffitt of Mountain City, Shirley Icenhour of Bristol, TN., and Carolyn Eller of Elkton, MD. Two sisters: Maudeina Moore of Lynchburg, VA. and June Eller of Mountain City. Five Grandchildren: Melissa Osborne, Scarlett Lucas, Patricia Mills, Marsha Icenhour, Ethen Proffitt. Several nieces and nephews and a host of friends. Funeral services for Roy T. Eller, age 79, of 611 Wilcox Road, Mountain City will be held 7:30 P.M. Tuesday from the chapel of the Henson Funeral Home with Rev. Gary Norris to officiate. Military graveside services and burial will be held 11:00 A. M. Wednesday from the Reece Memorial Cemetery accorded by the Johnson County Honor Guard. Pallbearers will be Deacons of Calvary Baptist Church. In Lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Johnson County Rescue Squad. The family will receive friends from 6 till 7:30 P. M. Tuesday at the Funeral Home Chapel. Friends may call at the residence of Mr. Eller, 611 Wilcox Road, Mountain City at anytime.
