Hux Lipford Funeral Home 300 West Main Street Mountain City, TN 37683 Obituary for Ruby Grindstaff Ruby Grindstaff , age 92, of 919 Medical Park Drive, formerly from Butler, passed away Thursday, July 5, 2012, after an extended illness. She was born December 4,1919, to the late James and Myrtle Potter Brewer. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Dana Grindstaff and by two brothers, Claude and Bill Brewer. Ruby was a member of Rock Springs Baptist Church. She enjoyed farming, raising cattle, and gardening. Survivors include nieces and nephews, Claude Brewer Jr., Geraldine Gentry , and James Brewer all of Butler, TN. Leola Watson of Carryville, TN and one sister-in-law, Hartensia Brewer of Butler, also special friend Richard Hagler of Mountain City. Funeral services for Mrs. Ruby Grindstaff will be conducted at 2:00 pm on Sunday, July 8, 2012, from the Eastside Memory Chapel of the Hux Lipford Funeral Home, with Reverend Leonard Fletcher officiating. Graveside service and burial will follow in the Sunset Memorial Park. Family will receive friends from 1:00 to 2:00 pm prior to the funeral service. Pall bearers will be Benny Stout, Dean Campbell, Tommy Poore, Richard Hagler, Blaine Branch, Charlie Mann, and Coty Brewer.
