Ruby C. Miller, 87, of Shady Valley, TN took up new residence in Heaven on Monday, April 27, 2015 when she passed away at Memorial Hospital, Chattanooga, TN. She was life-long member of Shady Valley Baptist Church and was a former employee if Raytheon Company. Mrs. Miller was preceded in death by her loving husband, Thomas (T.S.) Miller, parents, Stacy and Ethel Crosswhite; brothers, Preston Crosswhite, and Elmer Crosswhite; sisters, Essie Blevins, and Blanche Stafford, as well as several brother-in-laws and sister-in-laws. Survivors include her two sons, Jerry Miller and wife, Deb of Signal Mountain, TN, Kenneth Miller and wife Patti of Elizabethton, TN; four grandchildren: Heather Carlton, Plantation, FL, Ashleigh Miller, Murfreesboro, TN, Austin Miller, Chattanooga, TN, and Kenneth Thomas Miller II, Elizabethton, TN, and four great grandchildren; her loving sister and brother, Nola Wright, Bristol, TN, and Glenn Crosswhite, Lexington, KY, as well as several special nieces and nephews, and a special sister-in-law, Nell Crosswhite. Mrs. Miller loved spending time with her family, friends, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. She loved her church and church family. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, April 30 at Shady Valley Baptist Church in Shady Valley, TN and conducted by Richard Stout. Special music will be provided by the Reverend Nathan Jennings, Deborah McQueen, and Kenneth Blevins. The family will receive friends from 5 to 7 p.m. and funeral services will begin at 7 p.m. Graveside services will be the following day, Friday, May 1st at 11 a.m. at Gentry Cemetery, Shady Valley, TN. Friends may call the residence of Kenneth at 167 Constitution Avenue, Elizabethton, TN. Pallbearers will include: Bill Stafford, Bill Crosswhite, Keith Miller, Audy Wright, James Blondell, and Raymond Eller.
