Russell Brown, age 55, of 560 Grindstaff Road went home to be with the Lord Wednesday, August 13, 2003 at the Sycamore Shoals Hospital. He was a native of Johnson County and was born September 27, 1947 to Tray James Potter and the late Dorothy Mae Brown Potter. He was preceded in death by his Mother. Survivors include: Father, Troy James Potter, Butler, TN (4) Sisters: Helen Church and Husband Bob, Nashville, TN Judy Pass and Husband Danny, Butler, TN Edith Wilson and Husband Harold of Doe Valley Penny Perkins and Husband Frank, Butler, TN (1) Brother: Donnie Potter, Shady Valley, TN Several Nieces and Nephews. Special Friends: The 3rd Floor Nurses and Vestal Bennett at Sycamore Shoals Hospital. Hux-Lipford Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements. Funeral services for Russell Brown will be held 11:00 a.m. Saturday, August 16, 2003 from the Chapel of the Hux-Lipford Funeral Home with Rev. Harvey White and Pastor Gary Phillips to officiate. Music will be under the direction of Mary Hawkins. Active Pallbearers will be: Travis Wilson, Danny Pass Jr., Chris Church, Toby Wilson, Wayco Perkins, Daniel Potter, TrentonWilson and Gary Phillips Jr. Interment will follow at the Dot Potter Cemetery. The family will receive Friends from 7-9:00 p.m. Friday, August 15, 2003 at the Chapel of the Hux-Lipford Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Jude's.
