Ruth Tschanz

December 2, 1939 — June 30, 2008

Ruth L. Tschanz, age 68, of 1741 Deer Run Road, Mountain City, Tennessee passed away Monday, June 30, 2008 at her residence, following an extended illness. She was the daughter of the late Conley Trigg Lane and Rena Pearl Johnson Lane. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husbands Richard Tschanz, and John R. Tyson; a brother Charles David Lane; a nephew, Conley Warren Lane; and a son-in-law, Rickey Greer. Ms. Tschanz was a former employee with Missouri Congressman Moulder in the U.S. House of Representatives. Ruth loved fishing, gardening, camping and hiking in the woods. She was a member of B.O.T.A. and Johnson County Humane Society.

Survivors include: three daughters: Kathleen Herrin and husband Doug of Roanoke, VA; Marrena Greer and Jodi Tyson and husband Greg both of Mountain City, TN; two sisters-in-law: Sandra Lane of Gary, WVA and Jeri Lane of Roanoke, VA; one brother: James Conley Lane of Roanoke, VA; former husband and friend, John Leo Fentress of Mountain City, Tennessee; one grandchild, Te`a Nichole Greer of Mountain City, TN; one nephew, Mark Lane of Ohio; special friends: Sandra Kittle and husband Brad of West Virginia; Elizabeth Murphy and Debbie Reece both of Mountain City, TN.

A memorial service for Ruth L. Tschanz will be held at 6:00 p.m. Monday, July 7, 2008 from the Charles B. Hux Memorial Chapel of Hux-Lipford Funeral Home.
