Ruth T. Warren

Ruth T. Warren, age 92, of 1685 Rainbow Road, Mountain City, TN, passed away, March 10, 2006 at the Watauga Medical Center, Boone, N. C. She was a native of Johnson County and was a daughter of the late Elbert and Nora Dunn Tester. She was a member of the Pleasant Grove Baptist Church, a former member of the church choir, Women's Missionary Union, Vacation Bible School worker and Nursey worker. She loved cooking, gardening and had a special love for her family. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Edgar Warren, one daughter Rosa Lee Warren, one great grandson Christopher Wilson , two brothers and three sisters. Survivors include: Two daughters, Alma Hackney and husband Gene of Mountain City Barbara Wilson and husband Sam of Mountain City Four grandchildren: Teresa Mullen and husband Keith of Mountain City Steven Hackney and wife Rita of Zionville, NC David Wilson and wife Tanya, of Newark, DE Doug Wilson and wife Mary Kay of Newark, DE Four great grandchildren: Noah Mullen of Mountain City Tyler and Karen Wilson of Northport, FL Morgan Wilson of DE D. J. and Caitlin Wilson of Newark, DE Funeral services for Ruth T. Warren will be conducted 8:00 p. m. Monday, March 13, 2006 from the Pleasant Grove Baptist Church with Dr. Daniel Little and Rev. Jim Norman to officiate. Music will be by Christina Lewis, Donna Fritts and Elaine Moore. Pallbearers will be: Ray Vaught, Delmer Vaught, Jack Warren, Travis Lewis, Rick Moore, Alfred Wilson and Melvin Humphrey. Honorary Pallbearers will be: Doug Hornsby, Dr. John Whitlock, Claude Warren, Ernest Warren, Raymond Warren, Keith Wilson, Bill Moore and Earl Shull. Graveside services and burial will be held 11:00 a. m. Tuesday from the Pleasant Grove Baptist Church. The family will receive friends from 6:00 p. m. until 7:45 p. m. Monday at the Pleasant Grove Baptist Church. Friends may also call at the home of a daughter Barbara Wilson, 1450 Rainbow Road, Mountain City at anytime.
