Sam Taylor

Mr. Sam Taylor, age 79, of 1880 Johnson Hollow Road, Mountain City went to be with the Lord, Friday, August 22, 2003, at the residence of his son. He was born February 9, 1924 to The late John and Nora Morefield Taylor. Mr. Taylor was preceded in death by (1) Sister, Ellen Jenkins and (2) Brothers Bob Taylor and Jim Taylor. He was a retired Farmer and Loved Gardening and Flowers. Mr. Taylor was a World War II Navy Veteran having served In the Pacific on the USS Washington. He was of the Baptist Faith. Survivors: Wife: Edna Irene Trivette Taylor, of the Home (1) Daughter: Alma Jean Howard, Mountain City (1) Son: Jim Taylor, Mountain City (1) Sister: Bonnie Taylor, Mountain City (1) Brother: Wiley Taylor, Mountain City (4) Grandsons: Jeff Harrison, Jimmy Taylor, David Taylor and Michael Taylor (1) Great Granddaughter: Natalie Taylor Several Nieces and Nephews Henson Funeral Home in charge of the Arrangements. Graveside services for Mr. Sam Taylor, age 79, of 1880 Johnson Hollow Road, Mountain City Will be held 2:00 P. M. Sunday from the Reece Memorial Cemetery with Mr. Jim Hutchinson To officiate. Burial will be in the Reece Memorial Cemetery Pallbearers will be: Jeff Harrison, Jimmy Taylor, David Taylor and Michael Taylor Military Graveside will be accorded by the Johnson County Honor Guard.
