Shelby Jean Gorsline, age 69, of 646 Dry Branch Road, Laurel Bloomery, TN passed away Tuesday, November 29, 2011 in Gray, TN. She was a daughter of the late Ashley Miller and Lottie Ward Miller. She was a member of New Beginnings Baptist Church and she loved her grandkids, puzzles and reading. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a daughter Connie Johnson and one sister "Cookie" Hodge. Survivors include her husband, Norman "Wayne" Gorsline of the home; one daughter: Crystal Walton of Dandridge, TN; two sons: Steve Gorsline of Mountain City, TN and Larry Gorsline of Johnson City, TN; two sisters: Kay Guy of Johnson City, TN and Betty Davis of Mountain City, TN; two brothers: Peter Miller of Gray, TN and Jack Miller of Jonesborough, TN; four grandchildren: Brandon Johnson, Christina Key and Stephen Gorsline all of Mountain City, TN and Kaitlyn Gorsline of Jonesborough, TN; five great grandchildren: Brandon, Sarah, Madison, and Matthew Johnson and Constance Key. Several nieces and nephews also survive. A memorial service for Shelby Jean Gorsline will be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, December 3, 2011 from the State Line Baptist Church with Rev. Mike Bowers and Rev. Johnny Davis officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Dawn of Hope, P.O Box 30, Johnson City, TN 37604. At other times friends may call at the residence of a granddaughter Christina Key, 329 Deer Run Road, Mountain City, TN.
