Sherrill Ann Hart

Sherrill "Babs" Hart, age 68 of 219 Putman Lane, Mountain City, Tennessee, passed away on June 24, 2004 at her residence following a lengthy illness. A native of St. Petersburg, Florida, she was born March 14, 1936 to the late Charles and Gladys Berry Ritter. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two sisters, Anita Smith and Pamela Ritter and one brother, Jimmy Ritter. Sherrill was a graduate of Pasco High School. She was a former employee for Chase Manhattan and Honeywell. Sherrill was a member of The First United Methodist Church of Mountain City and of The United Methodist Woman's Association. Sherrill is survived by her husband Bill Hart of the home; one daughter, Cynthia Lynn Goodroe; two sons, Steven Hart and wife Joan and Gregory Hart and wife Stephanie; three sisters, Charlotte McDougal, Janet Malloy and Patty Husson; seven grandchildren, Richard C. Hart and wife Lori, Steven Michael Hart, Morgan Marie Hart, Kyle Gregory Hart, Joshua Goodroe, Daniel Goodroe and Rebecca Goodroe and two great grandchildren, Codey Lingerfelt and Dylan Hart. A Memorial Service for Sherrill will be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, June 26, 2004 from the First United Methodist Church with Rev. Don Morris to officiate. Friends may call at the residence at anytime. In lieu of flowers, donations are asked to be made to: Adventa Hospice, 684 Hwy 91, Elizabethton, Tennessee 37643.
