Sherry Elaine Knight

Sherry Elaine Gambill Knight, age 59, of Millers Creek, passed away at her home on Wednesday, April 20, 2023. Sherry was born on February 9, 1964 in Avery County to the late Shirley June Gambill Lipford and late step-father Dale Lipford.  In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her brother, Jerry Gambill.

Sherry enjoyed many activities including crocheting, coloring, fishing, hiking and watching the Golden Girls.  She was a loving and devoted wife and mother.

Sherry is survived by her husband of 27 years, Lee Knight; sons, Jason Heaton and Daniel Heaton, both of Mountain City, Tennessee; Dakota Knight and Jarrett Knight, both of Millers Creek; special family members, Becky Morefield and Sherrie Mahala, both of Tennessee; special friends, Linda Philemon of Creston, NC and Natalie Ferko of Millers Creek.

The family would like to extend a special Thank You to the hospice team at Gentiva for all their care and support.

Graveside service for Sherry will be held on Wednesday, April 26,2023 at 4:30 pm in the Hammons Gambill Cemetery with Anthony Roark officiating.
