Sherry M Lunceford

Sherry M. Lunceford, age 64, of 415 Mill Creek Road, Mountain City, Tennessee passed away on Tuesday, September, 4 2012 following a brief illness. She was a member of the Locust Gap Freewill Baptist Church. Sherry was born on May 28, 1948 to Don Lunceford, Sr. and Bessie Isaacs Lunceford. She also was preceded in death by three sisters, Okilee Icenhour, Martha Hartman, and Edna Mink, and seven brothers, Don Lunceford, Jr., Arthur Lunceford, Thomas Lunceford, Von Lunceford, Ray Lunceford, Joe Lunceford, and Marvin Lunceford. She loved spending time with her family and friends, cooking, and working crossword puzzles. Survivors include: Sister; Katherine Lunceford Thompson, Hanover, Virginia. Many nieces and nephews also survive. Funeral services for Sherry will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, September 8, 2012 from the Locust Gap Freewill Baptist Church with Rev. Shannon Courtner and Rev David Lunceford officiating. Graveside service and interment will follow in the Brown Cemetery at the Pine Grove Baptist Church. The family will receive friends from 5:00 p.m. - 7:00 p.m. Friday, September 7, 2012 from the Locust Gap Freewill Baptist Church. Friends and family can call at the home, 415 Mill Creek Road, Mountain City, TN. Ms. Lunceford will be taken to the church at 3:30 p.m. on Friday where she will lie instate to await the service hour.
