Shirley Ann Bunting

We are saddened to announce the passing of Shirley Ann Bunting on Thursday, January 21, 2021 at the Johnson County Community Hospital in Mountain City, TN. Shirley was born to the late Ott Bunting and Ina Stout Bunting on February 14, 1936 in Johnson County, TN. She is also preceded in death by her brothers, Bart, Marshall, Doran, Jim and Jay Fred; sisters, Kathleen Bunten, Opal Susi, Marge Ginolfi and Virginia Snyder. Shirley was a member of Bakers Gap Baptist Church. She loved quilting and working puzzle books. Those left to cherish her memory include: her son, Phillip Bunting and Pam; brothers, Mack Bunting and Harold Bunting; grandchildren, Justin, Jeremy, and Talia; great-grandchildren, Hailey and Hayden and special friend, Lavonda. Several nieces and nephews also survive. Shirley will lie in state until 2:00 p.m. Sunday, January 24, 2021 at Hux & Lipford Funeral Home. Graveside services for Shirley will be held at 2:30 p.m. Sunday, January 24, 2021 at the Bakers Gap Baptist Church Cemetery with Reverend, Frank Woods to Officiate. Pallbearers will be: Phillip Bunting, Jeremy Bunting, Justin Bunting, Hailey Bunting, David Bunting, and Tristan Bunting. Honorary pallbearers: Patti Hensley and Hayden Bunting.
