Shirley Jean Henson Fredell, age 65, of 311 Collins Drive, Mountain City, Tennessee, passed away on Wednesday, November 15, 2006 at her residence following an extended illness. She was born on February 2, 1941 in Mountain City, Tennessee to the late William McKinnley Henson and Hattie Gail Johnson Henson. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two brothers: RD Henson and Joe Henson and two sisters: Liz Richardson and Patty Morefield. Shirley was a member of Dewey Christian Church. She enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren. Shirley is survived by her husband of 38 years, Charles "Bud" Fredell, of the home; one daughter, Donna West of Winston Salem, North Carolina; two sons: Mark Fredell of Lake Wiley, South Carolina and Matthew Fredell of Mountain City, Tennessee; three sisters: Gladys Absher, Hazel Gentry, both of Mountain City, Tennessee and Mae Neal of Bluff City, Tennessee; three brothers: Kemp Henson, Ray Henson and Otis Henson, all of Mountain City, Tennessee; six grandchildren; several nieces and nephews and special friends: Shelia Allison and Jack and Perry Ragan. Funeral Services for Shirley Jean Henson Fredell will be conducted at 8:00 p.m. Friday, November 17, 2006 from the Dewey Christian Church with Mr. Bud Gentry and Dr. Arlen Smith to officiate. Graveside Services and Interment will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, November 18, 2006 from the Wilson Cemetery. Active Pallbearers will be: Donnie Henson, Ronnie Henson, Bo Henson, Gary Henson, Randall Jones and Eddie Henson. Honorary Pallbearer is: Larry Henson. Family, Pallbearers and Friends are asked to assemble by 10:45 a.m. at the cemetery on Saturday for services. The family will receive friends from 6-8:00 p.m. on Friday, November 17, 2006 at Dewey Christian Church prior to the Services. At other times, friends may call at the residence on 311 Collins Drive, Mountain City, Tennessee 37683.
