Shirley Ann Watson

Shirley Ann Watson, age 78 went home to be with her Lord and Savior peacefully on December 1, 2023 at Hermitage Health Center. She was preceded in death by her husband Thomas Wade Watson, her parents Spencer and Doris Jenkins, one brother David Kevin Jenkins and a daughter Kimberly Carol Watson. Shirley had lived her entire life on Stoney Creek and had many friends that she loved dearly. She was a member of Bible Baptist Church. She loved puzzles, coin collecting, quilting, hunting ginsing and being in the woods. She loved her grandchildren Seth and Mikayla Medley. She is survived by one daughter Margaret Watson Medley and husband Randy of Mountain City, Tn. sister Betty Jo Odom of Jonesborough, Tn., sister Rose Hypes and husband Roger of Locust, NC. Grandchildren Seth Medley and Mikayla Medley of Mountain City, Tn. and several neices and nephews. Special friends Bealuh Grindstaff and Betty Carden. A visitation will be held from 1:00 – 2:00 PM on Sunday, December 3, 2023 at Memorial Funeral Chapel. A funeral service will be held at 2:00 PM in the funeral home chapel with Bro. Leonard Fletcher officiating. The burial will follow to Ensor Cemetery. The family would like to thank the staff of Hermitage Healthcare for the wonderful and loving care they provided to Shirley during her residency there and at the end of her journey.
