Shirley A. Wilson, age 66, of 1418 Seminole Drive, Johnson City, Tennessee, passed away on Thursday, June 2, 2005 at her residence following a lengthy illness. A native of Mountain City, Tennessee, she was born on April 2, 1939 to Hazel Wilson of Mountain City, Tennessee. She was preceded in death by her maternal grandparents, Dan and Jesse Wilson and one brother, Richard "Dick" Wilson. Shirley was a medical secretary for the ETSU James H. Quillen College of Medicine. She enjoyed gardening. Shirley was a member of the Dewey Christian Church of Mountain City. In addition to her mother, Shirley is survived by one nephew, Thomas Wilson and wife Dianne; one niece, Kelly Perkins all of Mountain City, Tennessee; four great nieces: Christina Perkins, Taylor Tester, Lindsey Wilson and Courtney Wilson; sister-in-law, Sue Wilson; life long friends, Faye Squibb and Kaye Atwood; several aunts and uncles and several close friends and neighbors of Johnson City, Tennessee. Funeral Services for Shirley A. Wilson will be conducted at 7:00 p.m. Sunday, June 5, 2005 from the Hux-Tetrick Funeral Home Chapel with Mr. Bud Gentry to officiate. Music will be under the direction of Mr. Bud Gentry and the Dewey Christian Church Choir. Graveside Services and Interment will be conducted at 10:00 a.m. Monday, June 6, 2005 from the Wilson Cemetery, Mountain City, Tennessee. Pallbearers will be the Deacons and Elders of Dewey Christian Church. The family will receive friends from 5-7:00 p.m. on Sunday, prior to Services, at Hux-Tetrick Funeral Home. At other times, friends may call at the residence of Shirley's mother, Hazel Wilson, 154 Swift Hollow Road, Mountain City, Tennessee 37683.
