Obituary for: Stella Mae Mullins Stella Mae Mullins, age 86, of 507 North Shady Street, Mountain City, Tennessee, passed away Saturday, May 28, 2011, at Mountain City Care Center. She was born September 1st, 1924, to the late Alex Smith and Virginia Perry Smith. She was a member of Gods Country Church. Her hobbies included quilting. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Sigh Mullins one daughter, Lois Nichols, two brothers, Cecil and Jessie Smith and two great grandchildren. She is survived by her daughters, Lynda Sutherland and husband Ron, Mountain City, Tennessee. Jean Dunn and husband Dennis, Kingsport, Tennessee. Lucille Jones and husband Danny, Elizabethton, Tennessee; two sons: Melvin Bowers and wife Joyce of Mountain City, Tennessee; Ernest Bowers and wife Vicky Bowers, Hampton, Tennessee; 14 grandchildren, and two special granddaughters Amy and Lori Curd. 26 great grandchildren, 1 special great grandson, Alex Curd. several nieces and nephews and friends also survive. Graveside services for Stella Mae Mullins will be conducted 2:00 p.m. Sunday, May 29, 2011, from the Phillippi Cemetery with Mr. Jim Hutchinson to officiate. Active pallbearers will be Alexander Curd, Dennis Dunn, Ernest Dunn, Danny Curd, Ronald Sutherland, Edward Sutherland, and Christopher Sutherland At other times, friends may call at the residence, 507 North Shady Street, Mountain City, Tennessee.
