Sylvia Jean Boyd

Sylvia Jean Boyd, age 68, of Mountain City, TN, passed away at Watauga Medical Center, Boone, NC, March 21, 2012. She was a native of Johnson County, a daughter of the late Adam Arney. She worked as an assistant for the Johnson County School System for approximately 20 years. She was a member of Victory Cowboy Church, Mountain City, TN. Her hobbies were art and reading. Sylvia Jean Boyd is survived by her mother Ruth Arney, Mountain City Two sons; Thomas Boyd and wife Rebekah and Kenneth Boyd and wife Rose, both of Mountain City. Two sisters, Mona Barlow of Mountain City Nancy Sullins of Abingdon VA. Two Brothers; Bing Arney of Victorsville, CA Gary Arney of Phoenix, AZ; One Granddaughter, Kohana Boyd Several nieces, nephews. Funeral Service for Sylvia Jean Boyd will be conducted at 7:00 P.M. Friday, March 23, 2012, from the Heroes Chapel of the Johnson County Funeral Home with Rev. Steven Spencer officiating, Graveside Service and Interment will be Saturday March 24, 2012 at 10:00 AM from the Brown Cemetery in Mill Creek Community. The Family will receive friends from 5:00 P.M. to 7:00 P. M. Friday prior to the service. The Johnson County Funeral Home is serving the Boyd family.
