Teresa Carleen Fox

Teresa Carleen Fox of Butler, Tennessee, passed away on Thursday, September 9th surrounded by the love of her family.

She is survived by her husband, Edward Fox; her three children and their spouses, whom she loved as her own: Travis McCloud (Cassie); Kristin McCloud (Herb); and Nicholas McCloud (Brandi), all of Butler, Tennessee.

She was an incredibly proud grandmother to eight grandchildren: Sam, Sydney, Halie, Trevor, Aurora, Sophie, Madelyn, and Tyson. She supported them wholeheartedly and loved nothing more than spending time with them, especially watching them participate in sports and activities and could often be found cheering them on from the stands.

She is also survived by several nieces, nephews, cousins, and other extended family members all of whom she loved dearly.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Bill and Tiny Smith, and her brother, Billy Smith.

Teresa’s happiest moments were spent with her family. She loved riding motorcycles with her husband and with her longtime best friend, Ruby Mast whom she considered a sister. She was also well known for being an excellent cook, and many of the people who loved her will remember the meals she prepared. She had a wonderful sense of humor, loved to laugh, and had a spirited, spunky personality that made her unforgettable. She brought energy and personality wherever she went and could always find a reason to laugh.

She will be remembered as a devoted wife, an exceptional mother and grandmother, a loyal friend, and a woman who worked hard, laughed often, loved deeply, and gave generously of herself to those around her. Her family was her greatest joy, and the love and pride she had for them will remain an enduring part of her legacy.

A memorial service for Teresa will be conducted at 11:00 am on Saturday, September 19, 2026 at Hux & Lipford Funeral Home with Donald Davis to officiate.
