Terry Lee Ellege, age 57, of 1430 Newton Bridge Road, Athens, Georgia, went home to be with the Lord on Monday, February 14, 2005 at St. Mary's Hospital of Athens, Georgia. A native of Asheville, North Carolina, Terry was born on August 12, 1947 to the late Gleen and Minnie Moore Ellege. He was a United States Marines Veteran having served in Vetnam. Terry was a member of the Living Faith Baptist Church. Survivors include his wife, Alease Ellege, of the home; four sons, Virgil Osborne and wife Sheila, of Tennessee. Boyd Osborne and wife Wendy, of Georgia, Ricky Osborne and wife Tarrina and Tracy Osborne and wife Sara, both of North Carolina; father-in-law, Fred Vanover of Tennessee; two sisters, Clara Presley and Glenda Riccio, both of North Carolina; three brothers, Jerry Ellege of Tennessee, Marvin Ellege and Mike Cope, both of North Carolina; nine grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Funeral Services for Terry will be conducted 2:00 p.m. on Friday, February 18, 2005 from the Big Laurel Mennonite Church with Rev. Homer Vanover and Rev. Kirby Herman to officiate. Military Graveside Services and Entombment will follow from the Sunset Memorial Park Mausoleum of Love and will be accorded by the Johnson County Honor Guard. Active Pallbearers will be: Marvin Ellege, Jerry Ellege, Mike Cope, Virgil Osborne, Ricky Osborne and Matthew Osborne. The family will receive friends from 6-8:00 p.m. Thursday, February 17, 2005 from the Hux-Tetrick Funeral Home Chapel. At other times, friends may call at the residence of Alease's sister, Helen Woods, 6779 Forge Creek Road, Mountain City, Tennessee 37683.
